I believe there is going to be a big upset for the finals that no one is even thinking about.

Is this the part where we all start to guess what you are referring to? Lol

I know that I have considered all 896 possible final combinations... and considered the merits of possible upsets. He must have information on an alternate making it in and then busting up the bracket.

Two items I mentioned back in December did come to fruition:

1) Ryan Higgins of Billerica did bump up to heavyweight in the D1 North Sectionals. He pinned #6th ranked heavyweight Bryce Smith of Methuen to take 1st place. He enters the Division 1 State Tournament as the #1 seeded heavyweight with St Phard as the #2. This could change the heavyweight rankings tomorrow as well.

2) Also, Santell of Lawrence who is the #7 ranked heavyweight who has been wresteling at both heavy and 220 did move down to 220lbs for the D1 North Sectionals and took 2nd place as he lost to Omar Eldaly of Shawsheen who ranks #4 at 220 with a score of 11-5. With his second place finish, he enters the D1 State Championship in the same bracket as Andrew Marshall of L/S. In my opinion, the Championship goes through Marshall's House.

Not sure predicting a son's victory is wise. What if he falls short? Who will be more disappointed..the parent or the wrestler.

Curious, has your son yet to wrestle Randall from Newton North or Hughes from Chelmsford? If so, what was the result?

You can’t compare last year to this year. Leete was a 106 bumping up to 113 in the post season last year.

And at the end of day 1 at all-states last February, Leete was returned to the mat illegally by his opponent (not under control) which resulted in his opponent losing the match when Max could not continue due to an injured back.

So anyone wrestling Leete on day 2 at all states last year was not facing a 100% healthy Max Leete. Max has been nothing short of dominant this season at 113. However, he will not be at D1 States this weekend. Hughes & Randall on the other hand, will be.

Then that's like Dylan at Lowell had an extremely bad chest cold which made him maybe 50 to 60% if he was 100% at Lowell it wouldn't have lost a match and would have been sitting in the finals but regardless time tells all and we'll see what happens this weekend

And for the most of Dylan's career has given up 10 to 15 pounds when he first wrestled varsity and the 106 he only weighed 93 lb when he became freshman he finally even though the weight and was 104 in the 106. Technical versus strength has always been the question of which is better to have.

My son is always been overlooked just like most of the kids on the west side of the state overlooked and yes he does know yes it is bold makes people talking Wonder anything can happen on that mat in any weight class at any given time Dylan had a hard bracket last year with Jake Ferry darling and everybody was surprised when Garlits beat Jake I've never talked about my son publicly but I figured hey why not makes people think

I agree Dylan is over looked and I think he does have a good shot this weekend last year when he beat John we new to take him serious At all states I expect him to make some noise this weekend keep up the good work.
