Right now not all of the sections have internet at the sites.
D1 North does not have internet.
We are working on it.

Div 3 South only showing results after the fact, no match boards, or live wrestling video's on flowrestling. Does anyone know if this will be the case at all Sectionals?

Div 1 W is showing nothing and has been this way for 45 minutes. There are no results showing, no recent results showing at all, team scores are not updated, upcoming bouts are not updated, and brackets are not updated. It is very frustrating to not be able to be there and have the only source of information to not be working. I liked Kapwrestling when it was by itself. I hope it improves.

D3 south is running paper not running paperless.

Not a problem with Flo or Kap. Just paper guys. You are getting results as they are entered into the computer. Pretty nice if you ask me.

The school was blocking internet. We worked through that problem.

Live results and brackets are updating.

We are running 12 sections and you can get live results. I could not have done that with our old software. No way I could have taught that many people how to use it. The web side will improve. I know things have not been peerfect this season but they will continue to improve as it has all season. Please trust that I am taking us in a good direction. We started things again from sractch and it takes time to get it all there. I hear your concerns. I welcome constructive feedback. So please email me suggestions and things you would like to see. There are some things that are beyond our control:

1) School internet
2) Weather
3) ....etc...

You guys dont remember how little you had last year? Now you are are getting almost all sections right away!! Its very good. Try to keep things in perspective.

But if anyone has constructive feed back please email us at info @ kapwrestling.net

Thanks! -- I think evidence that things are ok is that there are not a lot of people begging for results here on mass wrestling. They are getting them.

D1 North is the exception. We are having trouble on their network. Im working through it but no success yet. If anyone wants to bring a fresh computer down to Methuen. We would need a windows 7 or greater 8 GB of RAM and then we might be able to get through their network. Right now we have 1 computer on the network but the computer that is running the tournament refuses to authenticate on their network. And we do not want to shut down a tournament that is running smooth.

This is the tough part about running in schools. We had been working with the IT department in every school to get everything tested but some schools just did not test it and we could not get to all 12 sites. For states we do.

Another interesting tid bit - D3 the second year we ran the computer crashed and we were down for 1.5 hours. I remember that...that was the good old Kap software. Then at all states when Salem had a network outage... the good old kap....The second year we were running our servers could not handle the load and everything slowed down to a hault....so look things are never perfect. Its an evolution.

I made the decision this year instead of living half in the old world and half in the new we needed to rip the band aid off so we could get out the kinks, get the feed back and make the future better. The new software allows us to do so much more. The missing features and ease of use will come back. Im promise. Just bear with us as we work through it this year. We have been with MA hard for 9 years now and we are not going anywhere. We are committed to promoting the greatness of the sport we love.

So thanks all for the feed back both positive and negative. We will keep on improving and growing!

Yours in wrestling,

Desi Kaplan and Peter Marcolini

Desi, thank you for clearing up the confusion for D1W. Now that you posted that you want feedback emailed to you, I will be sure to address it this way in the future. Thank you for all that you and your services do for those of us that love the sport, but aren't able to get to tournaments.

You can always post feed back in the forum. I just cant always guarantee Im watching it. It can be useful because then others also can comment and hey thats what a forum is for .

But to make an impact always, yes, email feedback is helpful!

Best,

Desi

Is it just me or is the "Recent Wrestling Boxscores" and "Newest Posts" Boxes taking up half the dam screen to the right

Desi, I love the new software online. However, the at tournament displays with tiny little clocks are essentially useless. As a coach (with my glasses on) I need to be within 15 feet to read the time. In our section (D2S) we brought manual clocks and used them instead. Keep improving.

In D3W, we enlarged the view which made them much easier to see from across the room.

The view that you will see this weekend has bigger time and scores on it.

At all states you will see very big clear ones.

They were much better and the fans approved of the triple screens stands.

Agree they were better this weekend, one thing I noticed the period text was a little small. I could not clearly read the period from across the mat. Would be nice if you text size was bumped up a little bit
