Dedham Rec Spring Wrestling with Bridgewater State coach-Frank Cammisa

Grades 7-12 6:00-8:00pm

Tuesdays & Thursdays at the Dolan Recreation Center

April 7th thru June 18th, 2015.

Fee - Dedham Residence…$120.00 per Wrestler

Non- Residents……...$130.00 per Wrestler

Join the Dedham Recreations Open Mat Wrestling program this spring for the opportunity to participate in an excellent program with superb college coaching staff. Program will focus on the developmental of wrestlers and having fun while preparing for a successful season. Fundamentals and sportsmanship will be key goals while developing in this program. Program will meet each Tuesday and Thursday from April 1 through June 5, 2014 at the Dolan Recreation Center. Coach Frank Cammisa Bio

Frank Cammisa became the head coach of the Bridgewater State wrestling program in September of 2014 after serving as an assistant coach for the previous four seasons.

Cammisa joined the coaching staff after an outstanding four-years as a teammate with the Bears. He is the only wrestler in BSU history to compete in the NCAA Division III Championship in each of his four sseasons with the team.

A native of Danbury, Connecticut, Cammisa is a January 2011 graduate of Bridgewater State with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education with a concentration in Recreation.

In his freshman season he set school rookie marks for wins with 35 and pins with 21 on his way to capturing the New England Wrestling Association (NEWA) 149-pound title and advancing to the NCAA Tournament.

Cammisa repeated ast he 149-pound champion and made a return trip to the NCAAs in 2008. In 2009, he placed second at the NEWA Championship but was awarded a wild card tot he NCAA Tournament. In his senior season, Cammisa moved up a weight class and captured the 157-pound NEWA title as he made his fourth straight appearance in teh NCAAs.

Cammisa is tied for the 3rd all-time at at BSU in career wins with 110, and ranks 2nd in pins with 46.
