Does anyone know if they are posted anywhere or where I can find them?

In the era where everyone has a phone with a borderline professional grade camera on it , nobody takes finals videos anymore ( I'm being a huge hypocrite , I just would love to see finals videos again )

Could it be coaches and wrestlers don't want video out there?

I have ton's of video. However, without the permission of the participants parents, I refuse to put anyone in a position that they did not ask for or concent to. (believe me, I would love to see and post, but am not violating anyone's privacy)

You can legally videotape anything that is in a public setting. If ESPN wanted to video tape a match they wouldn't need to ask everyone's permission as its a public venue.

In an ideal world with the post season coming up someone can commit to getting video of at least the finals matches or some of the finals matches.

Agreed, I was looking at the 2012 brackets from D2 states earlier and I love how it has links to the finals video for each weight.

I guess we don't live in the same world.....My world has never been IDEAL. These kids are under 18, their parents would have to consent to their being paraded, maybe some feel humiliated....that's not for the whole world to see. If they consent, then good for them......If I need to drive the point further, read up on privacy. Most of the videos you see in youtube are without consent. Somebody has to complain to have them removed(read rules). You and I don't know how many have been removed. I'ts basic thinking, don't expose yourself to liability if you don't have to.

Maybe you should start a petition to do this.

P.S. I'll play devils advocate, MAYBE in the finals there is a waiver to allow release of video? MIAA would then be involved? I'ts worth exploring. I'd be willing to bet a waiver would need to be signed.

This whole 'legality' discussion seems a little silly. No offense. But if you're competing in an athletic competition you have to assume someone is filming it and might post it online.

You are allowed to film anything that takes place in public. A public high school event would fall under that category. There is no expectation of privacy at these events. Filming them is legal. The only caveat is that to take audio of someone they have to be aware that it is occurring not consent but just be aware or it is wiretapping. There is so much misinformation about this topic. S. Shore please cite the statute if you want to disagree with me. Now I believe if you wanted to sell the video or use it for commercial purposes you should get consent or blur out the face but posting on Masswrestling or YouTube would not fall under that category. Once again please do not contribute to the misinformation about this.

Public event. Public participation. Public domain.
In other words, all participants are fair game for recording and re-broadcast as it can be successfully submitted that such content is "newsworthy".

Yes I have researched this topic thoroughly. Anything in public can be videotaped even high school athletes. Only would need to ask permission if you would use the video for commercial purposes e.g making money off distribution. Private facilities such as MLB stadiums can make up their rules and ask you to leave if you violate them but not public high schools. Boom case closed. If someone asks you to stop filming you are not forced to comply.
