I'm almost afraid to put it out there ...but here it goes. Does anyone know when and if a new England's ranking will be put together? Now before some wise butt says no ones stopping me...I would reply I simply don't know enough about the wrestlers. I can handle Vermont, but that's where my expertise ends. Just wondering there fun to see.

I would think its to early to start predicting New Englands. Need to see how kids perform at division and states (mid to late Feb) to practically rank who and how they will rank. Just my thoughts.

For bluestar to get him started: Here are the current rankings for all the new england states, start with returning placewinners from last year, and randomly pick anyone from each state for any placement, by the end of the week everyone will have chimed in (i.e. complained) and you should have a better idea how everyone should be placed.

What happen to Joey Rossetti, 106 runner up last year from CT?

He's at Hotchkiss.

Vermont placements in the New England tourney may be 85% MAU. Correct me if I am off track.

I don't give a crap. I've got guys up here not from MAU that could compete with anyone in NE. It's you're problem if you've got an issue wi not being able to beat MAU. They EARN there victories by working hard and living wrestling so stop crying about their numbers.

I don't think anyone said they had a problem with not being able to beat MAU or saying MAU doesn't earn their wins. They were simply pointing out that according to those rankings, 9 of the weights are topped by MAU kids, which means if they wrestled the entire rest of the state in a dual, they would be favored to win. That's pretty impressive for Mt.Anthony but shows a skewed balance of competition for the rest of the state.

Vermont has some very impressive wrestlers(mostly from MAU, not all) but you look at the Vt3 spot as a whole at new England's....some of these Vt3s wouldn't even place at mass div states in my opinion.

From 2011 NY Times article on Rachel Hale:

"Vermont is a small state; only about 200 athletes from 25 high schools compete in wrestling."

[list]I'm not even gonna get into it with you guys. We ll know mass is great compared to everyone else. Anyways I've put together a NE ranking with the help of a RI wrestling poster and it should at least inspire a more intelligent conversation.

One of our friends from RI Wrestling was good enough to make a run at the NE rankings and provide me with a starting point. I'm looking forward to the head to head discussions. enjoy

I thought Kevin Jack was at 126. Is he staying at 132? Where does D'Aloiso from RI fall there?

I thought he was 32 ...I'll leave him there unless someone knows for sure. Please let us know. D'Aloiso was an oversight I'll get him. In now. Are there any head to heads?

Thanks bluestar for taking the time to put rankings together! Should be some great matches at states and New England's. I could be wrong but I think the top 4 teams will be, in no particular order; Mau, Springfield central, EWG, BH. I am probably missing two or three teams but don't know enough about other states. Thoughts/opinions?

Thanks. I'd like to take all the credit but the start really went to a poster from RI. I really needed help getting started and from there I I simply adjusted, added, subtracted and noted the states in which they wrestle. Thanks though
