The only facial hair allowed is a mustache (yes, I think Tom Selleck should have been a wrestler).

Sideburns shouldn't extend below the earlobe, and NO GOATEES!! Even if the chincup of your headgear completely covers it, it is not allowed. Also, wrestler's should not be wearing headgear at the pre-match conference with the referee.

If you come to the mat unshaven, you will give up a technical violation point. Don't make things difficult on yourself, your coach, or the ref.... dry shaving in the middle of a gym is no fun. Be smart and shave the night before or morning of your match/tournament.

Alot easier to use an unshaven chin like sandpaper than your upper lip.

As an official, how would you handle a situation where a mustachioed wrestler was attemping to use his upper lip as a weapon?

As a wrestler, I would tell the ref, "the kid on top is trying to kiss me, MAKE HIM STAAAHP!"

Coach B, ugh... i think you got me.. i started answering this question as though you were serious. I'm guessing your're kidding... but if you are serious, below is my answer..
As an official.. I would probably stop the match and only verbally warn him, unless I thought he really had potential to hurt the other wrestler.
To be serious, anytime a wrestler uses his body or equipment "as a weapon", I would penalize it as either unecessary roughness or unsportsmanlike conduct. But in this case, I really can't see any damage being done other than embarrassment to both wrestlers... so I'd give a verbal warning for the first offense, and a kick in the ass (or an unsportmanslike conduct) on the second offense.
