A good kid that wrestled for John Perrin at the Brockton YMCA before attending Brockton High and later Springfield College.

He came out of a very tough area in Brockton and rose to the top of HS wrestling. Truly a success story. He was 49 years old and leaves a wife of 21 years and two children.

I remember Jerry and he was a great kid. Tough as nails but a nice kid. My condolences to the family.

I was a teammate of Jerry's at the Y and at Brockton High.

Looking back, it seems like Jerry was a great wrestler from the very first time he stepped on the mat. I cannot remember him ever losing a match in "midget" wrestling. Then in high school he went on to become everything Ken mentioned. If there is such a thing as a "natural" athlete. Jerry was it.

More importantly, Jerry was a great friend and an inspiration when we were growing up. He came from a good family. His Mom and siblings attended the wrestling tournaments and they were always good to me and our teammates.

My deepest condolences to his family.

RIP Jerry. You are in my prayers.
