Our thoughts and condolences from everyone at Monty Tech/Oakmont/Fitchburg Wrestling. Although I did not know him well I have seen him around since youth wrestling back in seventh grade and he always struck me as a very hard working, respectful and talented kid. We will all miss him. We went through a similar tragedy here at Oakmont recently when a Junior girl passed away from injuries received in a car accident. At the memorial service a family member said that he had been hugged more since the accident then he had in the rest of his life combined. His message was to keep hugging each other. Not only hug in the literal sense but to show love for and appreciate those around you. Appreciate your parents, your kids, your coaches, your teamates, your opponents, and even the refs. Lets everybody have a good sectionals this weekend and help each other get through this.

The Dedham High & Recreation teams are lost for words with sad loss. I remember Frank working the Big East tournaments and commenting how good the kids were.

our prayers go out to his family, teammates and friends.

The Needham High wrestling team and Friends of Needham Wrestling send deepest condolences to the Demeo family and the Nashoba team. A moment of silence was observed before practice in his memory. This is a tragic loss and our thoughts and prayers go out to the family.

I wrestled Frank a couple years ago and he had improved tremendously since then and obviously worked very hard to do so. Although I never got the opportunity to get to know him it saddens me to know that he is gone. About the story above I dont know if some people have read the other stories out there saying it was done on purpose or something like that but this article says it was an accident and the father wants no criminal charges brought on the young men involved. I know some people are probably angered about this incident and would like to see the driver criminally charged but I personally have seen my friend get hit by a car by another friend that was just messing around luckily he was not hurt but us teenagers do some stupid things and I think these young men have been punished enough by watching a dear friend and great person die.

The Belchertown wrestling team and all of their parents send out our deepest sympathies to the parents, family, friends, team mates and community on their loss.
Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time.
WBZ radio has reported that Frank Demeo, a senior Captain of the Nashoba/Clinton HS wrestling team was killed while running yesterday afternoon prior to a dual meet.

Please do not believe anything you read in the papers or here by word of mouth. This was truly an accident and we are trying our very best to get through this tough time.

The wake will be Sunday from 3-6 in Acton. The service will be Monday at 10:00am at St. Isadores in Stow.

The Nashoba - Clinton wrestling team would like to thank everyone for their tremendous support during this tough time. Frank was a huge part of our wrestling family, he lived for the sport and I think it showed in they way he wrestled. Thank you again for your support.

Other sports will never understand the bond that wrestlers have with one another.

I just want to second what Matt has said please do not believe what you may hear or read! This has been a real tragedy, and there is more then one “victim” here.

I also want to commend the wrestling community for the incredible support everyone has shown. It is truly a “family”. Having known Frankie for so long, I know he’d be pleased with such a strong showing of support and prayers.

The Nashoba Youth wrestling team, many of whom knew Frankie, are deeply saddened by this tragedy. Frankie was a real role model for these kids: quiet, modest, very hard-working and an excellent wrestler. We offer our sincere sympathy for his family, friends and teammates.

I had the great pleasure of having Frankie as a teammate from 04-06 at Nashoba. When I knew him he was always a very quiet and respectful kid. Everything that describes Frankie he displayed in the way he wrestled. Hard working, respectful of his opponents , dedicated and having a very deep passion for the sport of wrestling. As we all know, wrestling is the toughest sport. You always hear kids bitch about practice or cutting weight, not Frankie. I never heard him complain about anything and i have never heard him say a bad word about anyone. He was always early to practice, and enjoyed every second on the mat. I heard that as a senior captain Frankie really came into his own and was a great leader of a team that he helped come so far in the last couple of years. This is a tremendous loss to the NRHS wrestling team and the community in general. My thoughts and prayers go out to the DeMeo family and everyone who had the pleasure of knowing Frankie.

Frankie was always a good person, a great wrestler, and an even greater friend. Me and Frankie met when i was in eighth grade(his sophomore year) and taught me a lot. He always worked hard and always wanted to wrestle even when I didn't. One thing I remember of him was him always putting on chapstick. My dearest condolences go out to the DeMeo family, and the entire community of Nashoba

My heartfelt condlences go out to the DeMeo family, the tragic loss of Frank is felt throughout the wrestling community and by those as far away as South Carolina, the community has lost a great leader and is in a lesser state for it. Frank DeMeo and his family are in our thoughts and prayers.

On behalf of the Massachusetts Interscholastic Wrestling Officials Association, we wish to extend our heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathies to the DeMeo family, the Nashoba/Clinton community and anyone whose life was touched by Frank. Personally, I had the honor of raising Frank's hand after some of his many victories.
